Trout bite was best before 10am but anglers enjoyed an afternoon kick as the wind picked up after 1pm. Anglers used Power Bait ( including orange, chartruese, garlic, and spring green) night crawlers, jigs and lures to catch limits and most trout were near or over two pounds. Hot spots included the western shore of lake 3 from the bridge to the pump house as well as the eastern and northern shores of lake2. Catfish are hitting Power Bait ( anglers trying for trout) night crawlers and shrimp. Lots of limits are going out with an average weight of 2 pounds. Hot spots included the western shore of lake 3 near the pump hose and the eastern shore of lake 2 near the wall. Bass action is good on senkos and tubes near the pump house of lake 3 and the southeastern shore of lake 2 near the wall. Bluegill are hitting meal worms and small jigs on the northern shore of lake 3 as well as the western and southern shore of lake 2.

Catches of the Week: Fred Daily of Apple Valley fished for bass all day and then caught 3 rainbows near the bridge of lake 3 that had a combined weight of 11 pounds. He used a pumpkin tube. Steve Krall of Riverside scored a 3 lbs 7 ozs rainbow on an orange power mouse ( Power Worm/Power Bait combo) while fishing the western shore of lake 3 near the pump house of lake 3.

The Lakes\' Hatchery stocks trout every Friday year round. We will also stock 1000 pounds of catfish every Thursday throughout the summer.
This year the Lakes\' hatchery is amping up the weekly trout stockings with bigger fish overall.
